Seed germination treatment details
Parsley seed germinates very slowly, requiring 3-4 weeks. Fast germination procedure: Plant seed in a small flat of soil or planting medium. Place flat in a zip-lock bag, and freeze for 12-24 hours. Remove from freezer and keep moist until seed begins to germinate.)
Culture and fertilization requirements

Many cooks choose to grow flat-leaf parsley for its more vibrant flavor and its ease of chopping. Curly parsley tends to be used primarily as a garnish here in North America. The flavor is very strong, though it can also be quite bitter, depending on the variety. The texture of curly parsley makes it difficult to wash and a challenge to chop attractively, making it far more valuable to home cooks than it is to professional chefs who likely prefer flat-leaved parsley.
